A Thousand Sk(y)ies, for variable instrumentation

This is a tune I wrote for a folk fiddling class with Dan Trueman in the Fall of 2011. One classmate, Jess Turner, did a popified version that was pretty cool. In that spirit of reinvention, I’ve kept coming back to the tune and rearranging it for different ensembles, exploring what it means for different instruments to sing.
